So we had a chance to have an interview with her, so here it all goes!
— How did came up with this album, and what was the thought process for it?
She replied- “I came up with “YOYO” when I was in the studio with my co-writer Kent Jones and producers Scott Storch and IlladaProducer. We were just talking and laughing about toxic exes that won’t leave you alone and this song was really a natural progression after my first single “Let Me Go” which was about breaking free from toxic cycles”
Scott and Illadaproducer are both such brilliant producers, and YOYO reflects that with your charming voice on it!
So, the next question was,
— What first got you into music?
She replied- “Both of my parents have always been really into music, they played a wide variety of artists for my sister and I from a very younger age, and my mom took us to a lot of concerts. Then my dad bought a toy piano for me when I was 8 years old and I was just obsessed with the sound of the keys! I taught myself how to play it by ear, and then a few years later when I discovered Adele she inspired me to learn how to write music and sing”
True, Adele is such an inspiring artist for all of us and having a supporting parents is already a blessing!
Going to next question,
— Which artist inspires you the most and why?
She replied-” Adele is the reason I was inspired to start making music, but my inspirations always change through my journey in music. Right now the artist that inspires me is Miley Cyrus. She’s a strong and resilient woman who is not afraid to put herself first. I really admire that about her. And her vocals are a powerhouse!”
Miley, she is just a music charm! Her way of style and characterizing for music is just on next level!!
Soooo our last question was,
— Any final words for our reader and people listening to your music?
She replied- “I just really hope everybody enjoys my music, I’m looking forward to sharing two more singles this summer. I appreciate all the love and support and feedback I’ve been getting so far, and I’m super excited for my journey on this path that I have chosen!”
We as a label loved and enjoyed your song so much and so our audience will too!
